Sephora stepped up the sandstone steps, her white tank top having ridden up without her noticing to reveal her flat, toned stomach. She carried a small silver backpack with a hair dryer sticking out of the top over one shoulder and dog's lead in the other. Admittedly, Sephora and Addison had chosen this school to spite their parents, since it was close to home in Santa Maria, when they had been keen to send them across the country for a 'fresh start', but it was beyond either of their expectations. Everywhere they looked beautiful people sat, and milled around, with no doubt inflated egos. Sephora's couldn't wait to stick them with a pin and watch them shrivel.
Stopping on the top step, Sephora placed a hand on her hip and surveyed what she could see of the campus with pursed lips. So this was home. She wondered what kind of tricks they could pull for starters, nothing too big, but it still had to go with a bang. They couldn't get expelled their first week if she intended on truly leaving their mark upon this school.
Her dark eyes fell upon a girl in towering high heels struggling up the steps after her. Her usually hard eyes softened slightly in affection. The little dog on the lead began to pull at the sight of Addison, yapping excitedly at the sight of her other mistress, despite seeing her roughly ten seconds previously. Out of sight out of mind apparently. Sephora tutted affectionately but did nothing to silence the noise that was attracting them so much attention.
"Addi"
She called down as she watched her step sister stagger up towards her
"Hurry up here and tell me what you think we should do about this place..."

Addison was not having fun. Her blue Vivienne Westwood's were great for grabbing attention and making her slender legs appear longer, but they were terrible for walking in.
So concentrated was she on staying upright, she didn't notice her surroundings and bumped into several people as she hobbled behind Sephora. She didn't notice the steps that her step sister had climbed and so she tripped slightly on the bottom step, much to the amusement of the other students. However, she was used to the laughter, she was always the butt of people's jokes. Until Sephora heard them of course. Then their chuckles turned to tears for sure.
Picking her self up clumsily because of her shoes, Addison began the dreaded long slough up the few steps, her footing unsure and her balance all over the place. She wobbled precariously with every step, biting her lip in concentration. At the sound of their dog yapping, Addison nearly fell back down the steps in shock, but somehow managed to stay standing. Although it was a close call.
"Eek! Coming!"
Addison squeaked back as she nearly fell once again, she finally managed to struggle her way up and bent down, scratching Princess's ears lovingly before straightening herself up and leaning against the wall, glad of the extra support.

Justin had been relaxing for summer and Erica was planning some sleepover for them. Anything with Erica was fun. Good thing her boyfriend was probably a good guy and he hoped he wouldn't go either.
So there he was laying on the steps on the thick cement railing his hat over his face. He looked like he was sleeping but he wasn't...he was listening for gossip. The summer practically screamed boredom. Was't summer supposed to be fun? Well not for Justin cause Ethan abandoned him, leaving him alone and single.
Justin sighed and pushed his sunglasses on to cover his eyes. It wsn't till he heard the word Firecrackers that he picked his head up. The thought made him laugh because this school was not strict at all that the ttwo would probably get away with it. Justin pushed his sunglasses down to look at the two new girls over the top. He bit the inside of his cheek as he studied them trying to figure out where they would stand in the social classes. The pink haired girl seemed to be like she would rise to the top fast...the darker haired he was not so sure of.
Justin pushed the glasses back up as eh ran a hand through his newly dyed hair putting the hat back on. "Newbies." he mumbled putting his hands behind his head as he soaked up more fun. "THe school might find out if you do firecrackers. Just a clue." he said not turning his head.

As Addison finally managed to trip her way up the stairs, Sephora ran a hand through the ends of her long pink hair, looking around at the school through her large mirror lenses shades.
At finally recieving an answer, a slow smirk spread it's way across her pink painted lips and she swung her little backpack from over her shoulder, she turned and handed Princess's lead to her step sister and opened the fastening on the bag, digging around for a moment before obviously finding something of interest, although she didn't bring it out, she just stood smirking at the contents of her bag, she looked at Addison over the tops of her sunglasses and wrinkled up her nose, a sure sign she was gleeful about something.
"The chinese bangers Uncle Greyson sent us?"
She asked, pulling out a few lethal looking red fireworks from her bag and holding them out on the palm of her hand for her step sister to see, before, quickly recurling her fingers around them
"But where should we put them? Under a teacher's chair? Or ..."
She was cut off by a voice she didn't recognise. A male voice. She turned to look at him, tall, muscled, good looking and tattooed, all the things she usually went for, but this guy had dared to sass her. She glowered at him through her shades.
"Oh, and we wouldn't want the school to find out!"
She said sarcastically. After all, it was pretty much the idea of the plan. She flipped her hair over her shoulder defiantley and stared at him where he lay.

Addison took the lead of their puppy and slid down the wall, so she was now sitting with her back to the building, her knees up and bent with Princess sitting happily between her spread legs. She watched Sephora rummage through her bag and grinned, nodding at her question.
"Yeah. I don't think we should use them all ... in his last letter he said he can't send anymore for a while because of the trouble he got in with the police with the last batch ... you know the one with the dragon tail in it..."
She trailed off, her eyes trained on the fistful of bangers in Sephora's hand. She giggled. Looking around them she saw no one but a guy sleeping on the wall and so she thought about the question that was put to her.
"Um ... we could set them off on the roof during-"
She gasped as the guy she'd thought was asleep interrupted them , biting her lip anxiously as Sephora's face darkened. The doctor had said she wasn't to have too much stress, that part of the reason for the new school, apart from them being expelled from their last school, was as a detox for her, to get everything out of her system and to calm down. Addison doubted that was very likely. As Sephora snapped back a response to the guy, Addison's greeny-grey eyes slid over to the guy, all three sets of eyes upon him. Yes, Princess's aswell.

Justin sat up and turned so that he was facing them. He replaced his hat on his head and took off his glasses. "Well I don't know. It depends if you want to get caught. I'm sure that you two could think of something else that would be better than firecrackers." he said seeing the pink haired girls reaction. SHe obviously had a anger issue, much like Erica sometimes.
Justin looked at the dark haired one and then at the dog who were both looking at him. His eyes narrowed and he raised a brow. "I am guessing by your chouice of conversation, that you are btoh new here?" he asked leaning forward his elbows on his knees and his hands holding his chin up.

Sephora's eyes flashed dangerously as the guy spoke. She really could not stand people who thought they could correct her or tell her what to do. Anger was bubbling in her belly like boiling water, her stance changing slightly and she clenched her teeth together in her mouth, in an attempt to quench her irritation.
Crossing her arms across her chest she tilted her head away from him in a display of challenging.
"You think we're afraid of getting caught?"
She asked in a strangely even tone that those close to her would identify as extremely scary. The calm before the storm.
"And these aren't just any old firecrackers, sweetheart"
she added drily, shaking the hand that clutched them slightly
"These are illegal chinese firecrackers. Lethal"
she added for good measure. Their uncle who wasn't their uncle ran an underground gang in Shang Hai and sent them to his two favourite girls. He had taken them under his wing when they had run away and had treated them like royalty. He was indeed dear in their hearts and they in his.

Sensing Sephora's mood, Addison scrambled to her feet and dragged Princess on her lead to stand at Sephora's side. Laying a hand on her step sister's shoulder restrainedly she looked anxiously from Sephora to Justin and back again.
"Um..."
She had nothing to say, she was of course on Sephora's side, she was fearful for her blood pressure, although it probably looked to outsiders that she feared for Justin's safety, which she wasn't at all, he had started it after all.
She blinked at his next question, nodding quickly, answering before Sephora could.
"Yeah, we're new here, what about it?"
Her voice was smaller and not as challenging as Sephora's but there was still the edge of the violent when provoked to it.

Justin looked at the two before standing up slowly. He was taller than most people which was a good thing to him. "As interesting as that is..."he paused looking at the brunette as he opened his mouth again to speak. "You know you don't have to get so defensive. I have been at this school for a while. I know how things work around here." he said as he nodded his head.
He looked at the dog again and smiled a little. "Cute dog." he said with a smile. Now he was trying to be polite. He didn't want to get angry at the newbies. Justin had forgotten to take his medicine this morning.

Sephora felt Addison's hand on her shoulder and ground her teeth audibly. She glared at him, allowing Addison to answer the question for her until she regained control of herself, knowing her step sister would be upset with her later if she got into a fight so early on in their what would obviously be breif stay here she spat one last comment at him before turning and stalking back down the steps to the limo outside the gates to over see the unloading of bags.
"That's real interesting baby, but we know how the world works; fuck or be fucked"
She left an aura of anger surrounding the guy and her step sister even once she had left and she could feel their eyes on her back as she stalked away, fuming to herself

This could go one way or another, equally undesirable way, Addison realised as the tension in the air grew. She winced visibly at Sephora's bitter words. The world had not been kind to her and she was increasingly bitter about it. Addison sighed softly, relief ripping through her as Sephora turned and walked away.
She followed Justin's gaze towards Princess, who stood on the end of the lead she was clutching, there was a moment of silence as Addison ran through a list of catty remarks that she could imagine Sephora saying in her head. She had always longed to be as self assured as her step sister. Finally, after what seemed to be an age, she parted her lips slightly and spoke, her eyes still trained on the little dog.

Justin raised a brow as he watched her walk away. 'Yeah I would rather fuck." he said quietly to himself remembering Ethan for a moment. He shook his head before turning back to the other girl and then loked at the dog again. She bites Justin smirked a little and nodded, "Well I wasn't going to put my hand anywhere near her so I really don't have to worry about that." he said looking at the girl walking up the steps a little. "Sorry I didn't mean to be rude to your sister? I'm Justin." he said extending his hand to her with a small smile. "Sorry again. I just thought that you two might be better off in a new school if you did something bigger than firecrackers." he said again.

Addison was still looking at Princess and biting her lip, wondering whether to follow after Sephora but deciding against it. Seven years of sharing a life with her had taught her that her step sister needed her space when she was this mad. Later she would be there for her to vent at, but for now she had to make her own way in the school. Something she dreaded. She was always teased mercilessly when Sephora wasn't there to protect her.
She heard the guy say something to Sephora's retreating form, although she couldn't make out what it was. She frowned down, looking at Princess's little doggy face, hoping it wasn't something perverted, or worse [for him], insulting.
As the guy addressed her again she turned and looked at him fully, her little heart shaped face framed by long black and [for today] red hair. Looking down at his hand he had offered she stared at it. She didn't want to be disloyal to Sephora.
"Step sister"
She corrected him, slightly flattered that he thought she was related to Sephora by blood.
"Addison"
She replied, sneaking a glance at Sephora, whose back was turned, before reaching out and quickly touching his hand in what would appear to be a hand shake sped up by 100. At his next statement a smug smirked tugged at her lips and the metal bar in her bottom lip clacked against her teeth quietly.
"It's not what you use it's how you use it"
She replied, using a Sephora quote she had remembered from a while back, she tossed her hair over her shoulder in an attempt at Sephora's trademark of defiance.
